I found books by Mr Carr (both Easyway and Onlyway) completely both inspiring and they helped me quit smoking for a few months each time (I did not have much earlier attempts) < ; br /> However, I think it’s really in your mind and although the book is just the repetitive style and Mr. Carr ensure that the message is in pencil, it is important to reread the book regularly, only that it is very tiring
The first few weeks after I stopped smoking I felt I would never ever seen another, but it happens to fall back to the bad habbit, just what I found is that every time I fall I smoke less than last time.
There are many axioms in the book of Mr Carr that even if I read them with an open mind, I do not necessarily agree. For example, I do agree that the natural tendency is to chainsmoke. Maybe sometimes as Saturday night, but most weekdays, the smell of smoke makes me dizzy; In addition, tobacco is not necessarily socially isolated. For example, I live in Greece and non-smokers is more than an insulator.
However, it is good to read the book as it is really the only help at this point ( other than what is in us) that helps trully
I want to stress that it is useful to reread the book after three, six months, when we start to forget how terrible it is to smoke and are tempted again.
I also recommend one hypnotherapy session at the end of the reading. It will boost the message and its determination to leave a lot

Having read the comments of other users, all having been written in a period of relatively short time after stopping smoking, I think it is important to write a brief review of some years away.
I read this book a little, there are three and a half years. I took it seriously, followed by reading it and gave the process of smoking cessation is due, and it’s really working for me. Where the book really works is hammering the points you need to hear, and giving you some structure in which to prepare.
It’s a big book, should be, and focus efforts on preparing to quit, have actually ceased to be a lot easier.
The joy at the cessation of all self destructive behavior can be very grateful and so enthusiastic about the method used in the short term.
long term, I found “The Only Way to Stop Smoking Permanently” to be a method very robust. I have been a non smoker for over 3 years since reading this book, and have not smoked a cigarette since the final one at the end of the book in 2005. I am forever grateful to myself for having read this book, and Allen Carr for writing.

If theres a book that changed my life, it’s him! Allen Carr has hit the jackpot, I think. I could tell the whole book and have been through what he wrote. I was a smoker, and a chain of one, might I add, as the 25-30 cig. every day for over 13 years and have tried many ways to quit smoking. None worked for over 6 months. In addition to being able to stop smoking, this book has eradicated the thought of a smoke for almost a year now. I do not even smoke when eveyrone around me smokes, and is an incredible feeling. Anyone who wants to quit, read the book in one sitting. I started at 9am and Finised by 12 midnight and it worked. so that all our best wishes to the so-called non-smokers. WELCOME TO MY WORLD!

I started smoking at 15. 28 years later I was desperate and hopeless that anything could make me quit. I tried gum, patches, cold turkey, cutting, etc.. through the years. I even had some of those moments of smoke excessively dumb like embers burning a hole in the fabric of the car when I tried to film them by the window, the wind on the butt in the car when I had thrown out. . . . It seems that things like this would not wake me. . . . but I just punish, and are sure to be “more cautious”.
The more I went the more I am convinced that I would never, ever, be able to quit and that I would end up sick and eventually die prematurely from smoking-related disease. I hated being a smoker, I hated being ashamed of being a smoker, I hated the smell, taste, panic, designated smoking areas which were full of miasma, the dirty cigarette butts, ashtrays, dirty earth where people just threw their discarded butts. . . . I hated the dizziness, ringing in the ears, yellow teeth, horrible smell smoke in my hair and my fingers, the cost. . . and yet I continued to smoke.
I found this book and looked in the online information from Mr Carr before I bought it. I was skeptical, but hopeful that eventually I would find an answer that would end this nightmare once and for all.
What I discovered n was not the answer. . . But many “the” answers, which explains and demolished once and for all the roadblocks and excuses that kept me prisoner for 28 years. At the end of the book, which took me by one person 3 months to read, I am free and free for good.
Some personal recommendations:
1) Some of the content of the book is British slang. If you’re unfamiliar with the words or phrases do not dwell on it if you’re not clear on what is shared. Most of all the book is universal and easy to understand. Do not let it stop you from reading all the way to the end.
2) DO NOT go to the end before reading each chapter. It probably will not work unless you understand what Mr. Carr is teaching and why. The more you increase your chances of falling into the trap of smoking if you do not have the tools to understand the trap in his car.
3) Take as much time as you need to finish the book. However, do not stop reading the book entirely. Keep your promise to yourself. Freedom from addiction to nicotine without trauma, drama and crazy is real and can be yours if you continue to read through. In addition, each cigarette is like a trigger in a game of Russian roulette, do not wait until the fatal trail to quit. Give yourself a chance!
I do not think I could be free. . . . but now that I am. This book freed me 28 years of hell and opened my eyes to the tricks, propaganda, truth behind the tobacco companies and the medical community, and why every time I would not allow my attempts to quit. Once I learned the truth, failure is not an option.

Firstly, I have not stopped taking the book to Mr. Carr and auricular therapy (see http://www. Lc-stopsmoking. Com). I have not smoked in 47 days and I will not smoke again. The book is very methodical, practical, informative and entertaining. I was surprised to realize that I was smoking for stupid reasons. I particularly appreciated the fact that Mr. Carr is learning to quit by ensuring that we fully understand that it is addictive. I started reading this book a few days before my therapy and atrial I finished reading it on 2/7/2006. If ever I am tempted to smoke, I read this book. To me, this book is like the “Big Book” for AA people. I intend to read this book several times.
A must for anyone who wants kick the smoking habit.
Best of Luck!
